May is National Bike Month
My legs hurt, my right pant-leg is rolled up, a glittering framework sparkles at me from across the room and my tax return vanished like a bested Ninja with a smoke pellet. That can only mean that May has arrived and for many of the students and coaches at the Seaside Jiu Jitsu Academy, National Bike Month is in full-swing!
The True spirit of National Bike Month isn’t just about Bikes or getting out of your car, it’s about making physical activity and exercise a part of your life, which should be observed year-round!
Here in the north coast of Oregon we get nigh-constant rainfall for 10 to 11 months out of the year. Things like biking, jogging and playing a pickup team sport may be a perfectly valid way to introduce some positive kinetic energy into your life and limbs in some parts of the world, but none of those things really gel with the indoor culture that we’re practically forced into maintaining.
Jiu Jitsu is the answer to this dilemma and so many others. Celebrate National Bike Month by doing something that can be enjoyed year-round for a lifetime!
Jiu Jitsu may have been born in Japan, graduated in Brazil and enjoyed all over the world, but it was made for the North Coast and the Seaside Jiu Jitsu academy will continue to be the kaaba of the Jiu Jitsu Mecca the North Coast has become.
And yes, you can bring your bike…
